Determine your current software version and check for updates.

Stay current by regularly checking for software updates, which often include important security patches and performance enhancements. Before downloading updates, ensure you’re connected to a reliable Wi-Fi or cellular network for a smooth experience.
- To view the software version, from the clock screen, select the Power/Home button.
- Rotate the bezel and select the Settings app.
- Scroll to and select About Gear.
- Scroll to and select Software Information.
- Rotate the bezel to Software version.
- CHECK FOR UPDATES: From the companion device, go to the Samsung Gear app > SETTINGS > About Gear > Update Gear Software > Download update manually.
