Google Assistant

Enable Google Assistant

On the Samsung Galaxy S25, Google Gemini is enabled by default. To switch to Google Assistant, from the home screen swipe up to access the Apps tray then navigate to and select the  Gemini app > Account icon > Settings > Digital assistants from Google > select Google Assistant.

Access and use Google Assistant

Press and hold the Side button to launch Google Assistant. Say the desired search term(s) when "Try saying..." is on-screen, or select the Keyboard icon to enter your desired search terms.

 

Note: You can also select the  Microphone icon on the home screen to access Google Assistant.

Access Google Assistant settings

After about ten seconds, the initial Google Assistant screen will prompt you with popular actions. Select the Account icon, then edit settings as desired.
